Thanks to generous donations for Churches and Christians in America, the Antioch Institute library is taking form. Knowing the difficulties of searching for books in libraries Antioch Institute sought the help of computer programs to design a system which not only met world standards in library record keeping (Library of Congress system), but also can provide visual information on the books. The system which was donated to us is a great system for smaller libraries such as ours (yet will work without difficulty in a large library also).
The books in the Antioch Institute library are largely from First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas as well as a number of individuals from Methodists, Baptist and other churches who have helped to meet the needs of theological education in Cambodia. More books are needed. We have shelf-space for an additional 10,000 books and can make more space as needed.
Pray also that the school may be able to afford internet access for the students which would give them access to millions of other online books and resources on any imaginable subject. |
