If you have ever done SCUBA diving or snorkeling you know that it is absolutely amazing. Floating along care free in the ocean has a joy in itself, but what I am talking about is the amazing beauty that God created under the ocean. By snorkeling you just float on the surface of the water looking down at the amazing corals and fish. Scuba allows you to dive down and swim weightlessly among the fish. When talking with my dive instructor about what people are missing by not diving he commented:
“God created the world, everything else is made in China!”

You know it is so true. I live in Cambodia, home to the famous Angkor Wat temple which is some 1,200 years old. It is amazing what people handcrafted. I have been to the Forbidden City built by the Chinese Emperors over hundreds of years; the Taj Mahal of India; he Temple Mount in Jerusalem; the castles of Europe; some of the tallest buildings in the world; Mt. Rushmore in the United States; Cathedrals of South America. I have even been to many of the natural wonders of the world including Mt. Everest, Yosemite National Park, Lake Tahoe, the Mongolian Steppe and the Himalayas of Central Asia. I have stood on the edge of craters of active volcanoes and looked down into the boiling lava. These things are made by God and awe-inspiring, but anyone can go there. You can by a plane ticket and in 48 hours you can be to any of those sites.
Diving though is radically different. You can see things which no one else has ever seen. You can see amazing creatures and colors which you never could fathom how or why God would create such things. You can experience things which the Chinese could never replicate. 75% of the earth is water and under the seas, Google earth cannot go. The only way to see it is to jump in and go for a swim!
You owe it to yourself to see what God has done under the ocean. Man could never replicate what is there. Pictures can never do it justice. There is so much to see, you could never see it all if you lived a thousand lives. Under the water it is easy to commune with God. You feel his presence all around you. Everything in the “made in China” world fades away; all the problems and cares become irrelevant. That is why I dive! You should try it too.
