Travel Tuesday’s: Pickup Fully Loaded
This pickup is traveling from Meymut, Kompong Cham with a load of goods from Vietnam. They wanted to make best use of the maximum load of the pickup. Notice the rider on the top! Their job is the pick up electric wires so they don’t damage the load! (One on the back too!)
I love this picture, Steve. It looks very unsafe to drive in a public roadway. Is there any traffic law or regulation of cargo in Cambodia?
Actually we have 99 traffic laws, but they only follow about 9! 🙂
That is crazy awesome!! Those wheels look like they are bending in a bit. Thanks for sharing.
I bet there is only styrofoam under there! No weight whatsoever!
I don’t think you can sit on “styrofoam”! Wait till you see my pickup full of logs picture! 🙂 These are highly modified pickups with amazing suspension. They take the suspension off dump trucks and put them on the pickups. When they hit a bump, sometimes you can see the front end of the pickup lift off the ground!
This picture is awesome. The entire concept is awesome. Do they have to draw straws to see who sits on the top? What do you think he’s got under there? Laundry? A couple of bull elephants? A mobile home? My most recent Pizza Hut order?
