Who would think that summer school would be fun? I would think of it more like a punishment when I was a kid, but the children at Imparting Smiles love to study and are relishing the moment in which they have a special American teacher. Willena Brooks came to visit her daughter, Elisabeth (my assistant), and we just put her to work! Being a teacher she is going to spend the time here teaching the brightest students and will conduct a teachers training too.
The Hyde House is now a school for the next two weeks!
The kids will spend their day studying English and Math and to help to develop their reading skills more as well. Even little Odom, gets his own little desk for his first day in school. . . even though it is summer school!
